A B O U T U S . . .
a few words from the Owner

Plain and simple, Media Darling Creative was born from a love of story telling. Whether I’m telling professional stories or personal ones, uncovering passions is what drives my work. Throughout school I focused on different ways to illustrate and express narratives. I graduated in 2017 with a degree in Journalism and lots of supporting photography classes (finishing just shy of the photo minor, because I didn’t have the patience for the dark room… Sigh.) 

My first venture out of college was working as a news reporter for a USA Today affiliate in Indianapolis, IN. Although I loved the newsroom and the literal mound of stories at my fingertips, I always found myself a little unsatisfied at the end of an assignment, because I really didn’t have the time I wanted to dig. Those deadlines are no joke! Realizing I wanted to work a little closer to the stories I was telling, I became the Marketing Coordinator for a restaurant group in Memphis, TN. In this position, I designed websites, created newsletters, dabbled in PR and Events Management, and my favorite part - managed the social media accounts and took allllll the pictures.

After a year or so, I realized which tasks took the cake for me. I really fell in love with the idea of utilizing social media as a platform for business growth via long form story telling. I realized how many small businesses out there needed that desperately, and thought… why not start my own thing, where that’s what I focus on? So, I did! In 2019, Media Darling Creative came to be. 

Since then, I’ve worked with 20+ small (and not-so-small) businesses and tons of wonderful individuals, capturing their moments and telling their stories. Media Darling Creative spans all avenues of creativity from professional photography to social media management, graphic design, branding, and more.
